God's love is the foundation of who He is, not just something He does. Unlike human love, God's love is unconditional and unfailing, demonstrated through sending Jesus to save the world rather than condemn it. The Father desires an intimate relationship with you, calling you home to experience His perfect love. This love isn't earned through performance but is freely given based on God's character. You are invited to rest in this truth and allow His love to transform how you love others.

This sermon focuses on the biblical concept of 'turning' as a call to change direction and return to God. Using Malachi 4:6 as the foundation, the pastor emphasizes that fathers must turn their hearts toward their children and children toward their fathers to prevent spiritual destruction. The message highlights that God has a predetermined plan and path for each person, established before birth, and that following His Word provides direction and purpose. The pastor stresses the importance of daily Bible reading, trusting God with our whole heart rather than our own understanding, and letting go of past hurts to move forward in God's calling.

The sermon title was Waiting on God as we started our service and waited on God He showed up in a powerful way. Pastor was not able to bring the message and that's okay. Any time God wants to move on His people He has the authority in this place to do whatever He wants in and through Living Water Community Church.

On the first Christmas night, God chose an unlikely partnership between angels and shepherds to announce Jesus' birth. The angels served as heavenly messengers, while the humble shepherds became the first evangelists. This choice reveals God's heart for the lowly and overlooked in society. Jesus embodies both roles - He is the ultimate messenger from heaven and the Good Shepherd who knows and cares for each of His sheep personally. The holy became lowly so that the lowly could become holy, demonstrating that Christmas is about heaven coming down to earth so we can spend eternity with God.

Jesus' family tree reveals an incredible truth about God's character - He uses imperfect people to accomplish His perfect plan. From Rahab the prostitute to David the adulterer and murderer, God chose flawed individuals to be part of the Messiah's lineage. This demonstrates that God isn't waiting for us to be perfect before He can use us; He's looking for willingness, not perfection. Every person in Jesus' genealogy has a story of redemption, showing that our past mistakes don't disqualify us from God's purposes. The same God who worked through broken people throughout history wants to use us today as guiding lights pointing others to Jesus.

The 90-mile journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem that Mary and Joseph undertook reveals profound truths about God's perfect timing and purposes. While many struggle during the holidays with grief and loneliness, this is precisely why Jesus came - as a man of sorrows who understands our pain. Mary and Joseph's difficult path, walking for over a week while Mary was nine months pregnant, wasn't poor planning but God's orchestration. Just as Jesus left heaven's glory to become human and experience every struggle we face, He chose the humble stable over a palace to show His love. The greatest journey wasn't the miles to Bethlehem, but God's Son traveling from heaven to earth so we could have abundant life and an eternal destination with Him.
